Today was the last of my 7 day work week, I was supposed to be at work at 3pm, at 2:20 (on my way to work) I get a phone call from the PICU at AGH telling me to report to Shands at UF PICU for work...I'm suprised I didn't wreck, I thought it was a joke! I knew I would be there next week, I just wasn't expecting to be there today. It was quite the culture shock, but I know when the dust has settled I will be thankful for the opportunity to work with such a diverse patient population. I've been missing being in school lately (who misses school???), so I guess this is a blessing in disguise...I'll be constantly learning something new without having to write papers or silly care plans =) Wish me (and my patients) luck!
